MY FULL STORY
I started in the grooming industry in late 2014 at 18 years old. I worked as a dog bather at a corporate grooming salon while going to college to be an art teacher. I worked there for five years and learned the basics of grooming and how to work with dogs. As I was about to graduate college in early 2019, I was offered a position at a private grooming salon where I was trained under a more experienced groomer to perform full haircuts. I took to it fairly quickly due to my artistic background. It became a new medium for me; each haircut, a dog hair sculpture. From then on I worked as a solo groomer—spending one-on-one time with all of my furry clients—and I began to build trust and bond with each dog who came to see me regularly. It wasn’t hard for me to see that dog grooming was my passion, but I still wanted more opportunities to use my creativity. While teaching art during the 2020-2021 school year, I began to develop my business. I purchased my Ram Promaster van in April, 2021 and spent the entire summer designing and building Head to Paw Mobile Spa. I cannot wait to share my work with new and existing clients!
On a personal note, I’ve lived in Medina most of my life. I currently live here with my partner, Kyle, and our house full of fur-children. Along with our two cats (Fiori and Nimbus), we have two rescue dogs, Lyra (pictured left) and Pyxis (pictured right). I spend my free time taking the dogs on adventures, dying my hair fun colors, bouldering, and enjoying family and friends.
